Quick Heads Up

I recently got more clients coming to me for quotes and questions about lettering and other design services. Although I don't mind the ones who were professional about the whole experience, but I ran to a couple who above the level of rude. Ok, so I decided to put this article here so any of you clients who are the ones who really need to voice their opinions about how a business works can understand fully about our intents on our services, prices specifically. Sorry for the language.

1. I don't charge quotes to be an asshole. When I send you a quote, it's because you asked for a price and I'm giving it to you. I don't expect you to like it, but it beats paying me by the hour. I give you 2 days to at least respond to the quote. Once the 48 hours are up, our conversation is over.

2. My prices are not what they are because I don't like you. Let me put it this way, if you paid $2 for a Gucci shirt knock-off, do you expect it to be top of the line material. Same way when you pay some designer $5 to do your project. You get what you paid for.

3. I have a watermark on all unfinalized work because I have to play it safe. You'll be surprised how many of my clients in my early days run off with unfinished work and no payment. Who's going to use a design with a huge black Cire Designz stamp on it?

4. I ask for a 20% deposit because if you, the client, asked me to work on a design (that I work tirelessly and endlessly on) and then you back off the project for whatever reason small or big. I will at least have some kind of income to keep. In other words, if I don't get paid then my family and I don't eat.
