A friend of mine and I sat down in my parents' living room talking about the games we were playing and planning on getting. I told him that I was interested in getting Saints Row IV since I've played all the other ones. He told me without missing a beat. "Dude, you might as well keep playing Saints Row The Third." He played a demo and said everything pretty much stayed the same except with aliens and superpowers.
Then to smear more crap on the wall he even said that the whole thing would've been ruined if they didn't add the dubstep guns. He showed me the gameplay and dear God he was freakin right! Everything was pretty much kept the same. New guns, new elements, but Steelport was stuck in The Third.
I know inside my core I'm aching to play it, but am I doing myself a disservice? Do I want to sacrifice my money and time for something I have already played before? I don't know I'm torn! I guess I will Red Box this shit in the meantime until I'm convinced to actually own a copy.
