My brother and I have finally gone to go watch this massive summer blockbuster. I have to say I was HYPED! I loved the film from start to finish. The writing was pretty good, the acting was neat, but the main seller was the ACTION! This summer didn't need zombies, vampires, or cowboys. It needed fucking ROBOTS! ROBOTS FIGHTING MONSTERS! They even called the giant monsters Kaiju in homage to fucking Godzilla! They got the whole piloting and fighting down to a science.
They covered everything from why they needed 2 pilots and why the Kaijus were coming out from the Pacific other than space. I wasn't left twiddling my thumbs asking questions. The fight scenes were kinda cluttered due to the massive sizes of the combatants, but other than that I was jumping off my seat yelling "Fuck his ugly ass up!"
You should take the time off your week and catch this flick as soon as you can.
