So after weeks of being busy I finally found time to watch Django Unchained by Quentin Tarantino and starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo Dicaprio. I have to say I am impressed with this film. I felt as if I saw a different side of slavery, a vengeful side. The beginning of the film itself was enough to have me say "You know what critics? FUCK YOU!"
Christoph Waltz is a freakin genius (obviously) and the way he handles his character just makes you hope they make an action film with just him. Obviously the language and the violence was the "controversy" for a lot of people but if you enjoy and understand films like I do then this movie should be on your top 10 list of films I would watch in my underwear with a box of wings. The violence was a little over the top, but I mean that's what you expect in a spaghetti western film by Quentin Tarantino. What did people expect? That Django would forgive his captors and abandon his love "just cuz". Hell no! Django is gonna get payback and with interest.
I say if you haven't seen it then do it as well as Dredd and The Man with the Iron Fist to fill your "Man Night"
I give this film a 10 out of 5 stars!
