So after repeated nagging from the Call of Duty haters about a lack of improvement throughout the series. They have been proved right! Some dude (who obviously had enough time to notice or possibly had a photographic memory) noticed how a cutscene from the first mission scene of Ghosts was eerily similar to the ending scene of Modern Warfare 2.
Is it homage to one of the intense scenes of the series or did they simply "cut and paste" the animations with different characters? Who knows?
See it for yourself:

BF4 players you are safe!
Yesterday, DICE released an update for players on ALL platforms (including PC) to fix the oh so annoying server crashes. The crash usually erased all progress of your matches, so any unlocks are pretty much bye-bye. They haven't mentioned any other fixes other than the server crashes, so if you are still experiencing any freezing/crashing, don't fret DICE is on the case!

Saints Row IV is still The Third?
A friend of mine and I sat down in my parents' living room talking about the games we were playing and planning on getting. I told him that I was interested in getting Saints Row IV since I've played all the other ones. He told me without missing a beat. "Dude, you might as well keep playing Saints Row The Third." He played a demo and said everything pretty much stayed the same except with aliens and superpowers.
Then to smear more crap on the wall he even said that the whole thing would've been ruined if they didn't add the dubstep guns. He showed me the gameplay and dear God he was freakin right! Everything was pretty much kept the same. New guns, new elements, but Steelport was stuck in The Third.
I know inside my core I'm aching to play it, but am I doing myself a disservice? Do I want to sacrifice my money and time for something I have already played before? I don't know I'm torn! I guess I will Red Box this shit in the meantime until I'm convinced to actually own a copy.

Bioshock is all types of sexy!
My brother recently bought Bioshock Infinite last Saturday for the Xbox 360. So obviously had to sneak into his house while he was away to try it out (sorry for the lack of toilet paper and Dr. Pepper).
As I signed in, I first watched the intro which was freaking breathtaking! Don't want to go on detail to avoid spoilers.
Ok, so as I started the first chapter of the game I noticed that it was a lot like the first Bioshock game like A LOT like it, just instead of Rapture (underwater city) you have Columbia (aka fucking city in the sky).
The gameplay was pretty much the same as the original Bioshock just with one more added touch. A fucking city in the sky! The aerial combat is pretty amazing. I practically spent most of the combat situations swinging across the skyline rails pouncing on those old timey fuckers while calling a murder of crows to peck my victims' eyes out while I possess their giant turret to blast their skulls to confetti. Ahem... I found the game quite enjoyable.
I enjoyed the graphics as well. It kept the animated violent child cartoon vibe that we all loved so much as well as the steampunkiness (that's a word right?).
As my brother came back to his house and I slipped away in the shadows with a sense of accomplishment knowing that he made a right decision finally.
All in all I give this game a perfect 10! Just be warned...the ending will make your brain explode...

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4??
According to source, voice work is already starting on a title nicknamed "Call of Duty 2013," which can be a part of the Modern Warfare story arc. The game is slated for a 2013 launch date. I've got to assume that this title is really Modern Warfare Four, which it'll follow the currently established biennial release cycle that the series has controlled for over 1/2 a decade so far.

Hitman:Absolution shows that 47 still got it!
Ahhh! Hitman:Absolution, the latest sequel to the Hitman franchise, has been in development for a long time and with good reason. The entire gameplay got overhauled with new mechanics with the new engine, Glacier 2. I was a little skeptical at first about it since I was so used to the older games, but it really showed that it didn't give a damn about Blood Money or Contracts and I applaud them for that. I completely forgot about them once I started playing Absolution. (I don't want to mention spoilers because you really need to play it)
The combat now emphasizes Agent 47's hand-to-hand skills (he knows martial arts, who knew?!), his firearm skills such as his insane accuracy and shooting speed, his ability to blend in with crowds, and his killing ingenuity.
They even added a Instinct mode, which is pretty much 47's version of Batman's Detective mode (Batman Arkham Asylum or City) or Altair/Ezio/Connor/Desmond's Eagle Vision (Assassin's Creed I to III). It pretty much puts all of his training into use in this mode because this is when he finds his target(s) and plans out his kill or escape route.
Online is really sick! I have to say this was my favorite part of the whole game besides the storyline. They have what's called Contract mode. This is what's really exciting! You can make your own assassination contract using any target you want, any disguise you want, any weapon you want, and then you put it on the Hitman server then just watch the other players try to complete your contract.
This game really stands out from the rest and it is really worth the time and effort. Hitman:Absolutin doesn't have you play as Agent 47, you ARE 47.

Is the next Playstation destined to fail?
So obviously everyone knows about the rumors about the new game systems. The XBox 360 itself has been a force in the gamer universe with their fair updates and less buggy versions of the video games (e.g. Skyrim). Sony has almost made it habit to launch after their competitors thus rushing their entire programming process thus FUCKING up like no tomorrow. To be fair I own a Playstation 3 and I love it but the long ass updates have been driving me crazy sometimes I miss my XBox...BUT I have faith in Sony and I know that they can climb out this hole and destroy the competition. I know they can fully unlock the Vita's capabilities to make our days seem less dark.

Need a flashback?
So I don't know if you have heard about this new reboot for Tomb Raider. Well I checked out some of the screenshots and I have to say "WHOA!". The developers pretty much got the old games and burned them in a furnace to power up their sexy new systems because they apparently want to be eco-friendly (I assume).
Any who, this game according to the developers, Crystal Dynamics, is to reconstruct the origin of the main character, Lara Croft, as to why she is such a badass. The entire game will evolve her from your average person to the wounded animal hiding in the corner to the no-holds-barred woman we all know and love, but at what cost?
Don't expect any original gameplay from the old titles. Crystal Dynamics overhauled the whole gameplay as well.
The game will be released for the Windows PC, Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3. Release date as of today is March 5, 2013.

Move over True Crimes and GTA!
The developers of Modnation Racers (United Front Games) and the creators of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts (Square Enix) bring you, Sleeping Dogs.
Sleeping Dogs takes you to the gritty streets of Hong Kong as Wei Shen, a undercover cop whose mission is to infiltrate the Sun On Yee triad organization.
So I began the game first by euphorically falling for the free running aspect of the gameplay, which by far kept me on my toes (so to speak) then after the cutscene I started doing some quickie missions to get familiar with the entire game itself. I have to say I was impressed with the hand to hand combat because it WILL unleash your inner GOD OF WAR with counters, special moves and combos. You have a lot of enviromental attacks to choose from that I don't even think I found all of them.
The driving was pretty cool other than driving on the other side of the street and the stunt jumps I was able to keep myself a bit entertained.
BUT the gunfights were another story. You can do human shields, slide over bars in slo-mo as well as jumping but unfortunately... (Spoiler!) I didn't get the guns until almost the last section of the game and the only way to get a gun before then was to disarm a police officer or check a trunk of a police car. The only way to do that was to gain the abilities which can only be gained by playing FURTHER into the game. Don't think once you got the gun its yours to keep because once you run out of ammo or enter/exit a mission that gun you cherished oh so deeply for will be gone in a snap!
Overall, I think the game is unique in terms of action, the customization is pretty awesome, the DLC is to die for, and the replayability is there, but I won't be hooked on it.
Overall: 4/5
Replayability: 3/5
Story: 4/5
Gameplay 4.5/5
